Jay Fleisher has practiced law since 1977. He is a member of the Florida Bar,(member, Charitable Organizations and Planning Committee); Washington D.C. Bar; American Bar Association, (member, Nonprofit Organizations Committee); Palm Beach County Bar Association (member, Probate and Trust Law Education Committee; member, Technology in the Law Committee); Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County (member, Board of Directors); Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council and the Association of Professional Fundraisers, (associate member). He was for many years an attorney in the legal department of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, one of the largest charities in the country, first as an associate attorney and then head of the department as its Managing Attorney. During his practice at the Shriners Hospitals, Mr. Fleisher dealt with almost every legal problem a charity, or any non-profit organization could encounter, including matters involving complex tax issues, charitable estate planning, will and trust administration and litigation, corporate governance issues, and creation of the organization’s first planned giving department. Mr. Fleisher relocated to Palm Beach Gardens in 2008 to open his private practice, and marry his high school sweetheart.
